Not Alone

If there's one thing the pandemic is reminding me, it’s the power of being physically close to the ones I love. In this dance film, I'll be shooting two dancers in separate locations. Though these "lovers" will never be together in the same shot, they yearn for each other and find synchronicity across the distance. I'm making the film to show that we're all experiencing loneliness in some way and to capture the moment in a romantic and joyful way. Maybe there's something universal about our human experience that can show us we're not alone right now. Dancers will present movement and choreograph the duet together via a 3-hr zoom rehearsal, and each will shoot privately with Mesha for 5 hours in their respective apartments + outside. Pay is $100/dancer, matched with a $100 donation to a charitable organization of your choice.
