A giant cake is a fantasy... and women who emerge from it a fantasy too. Maybe a male fantasy, maybe the collective unconscious. But as the cake explodes... transforming, the women transform too, from sexualized to owning their sexuality. They made this world but you're invited. Cake is the dialogue between presentation and empowerment. Who is the cake for? Can you have your cake and eat it too?

Earthling a multi-media runway installation for a fashion event at Vibiana Cathedral in which nude/body-painted dancers approached an ‘alter’ of their own projected figures animated with elements of water, fire, earth and wind. The dancers then manically dressed themselves in layers of costume, only to illustrate the ridiculousness/futility/fun of masking our true beauty with anything at all. And finally they undressed and rolled back offstage - a cycle fully illustrated: we come from the earth, we ARE the elements, we dress up & play pretend, then we remove all our layers and return to from where we came.
