A docu-series featuring graffiti artists & dancers taking their message to the streets.
Opportunity - Elevate is a vehicle for brands to show support for artists / dancers and to sponsor positive social change in a challenging time. In exchange, brands receive produced content for social media. From Netflix, to Ben & Jerry’s, brands are taking a stand on social issues, Elevate takes that to a new level.
Concept - With museums and galleries closed, the art world is 'turning inside out'. The streets are filled with murals that speak to our time: BLM, Covid-19, etc. Elevate gives artists financial support to do great works in public spaces. Footage of artists doing their work and talking about their piece is intercut with a second element: a dancer doing a performance in front of the mural. The additional interview of the dancer is cut in as well and the effect is a complex way to talk about and capture this moment.
Producibility - The project is designed to be executable using techniques that have emerged in the film industry in the last 3 months like remote attendance of film shoots via zoom and streamlined crews. Mesha Kussman, known for her work with the Coen Brothers, will direct and executive produce.
